Maruti Suzuki WagonR

Among the cars that fared poorly in Global NCAP’s crash tests is the Maruti Suzuki WagonR, one of the automaker’s most popular cars due to its practicality, affordability and signature tallboy design, reports HT Auto. However, when it comes to safety, the hatchback has managed only one star in the Global NCAP crash test.

Maruti Suzuki Alto K10

The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is the only current model in the Alto lineup, which carries the legacy of the first Maruti Suzuki car, the Maruti 800. This entry-level hatchback has been one of the bestsellers and volume churners for the automaker, but when it comes to safety, it got only two stars in the Global NCAP crash test.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the bestseller cars of the company. Also, it is one of the most popular hatchbacks in India. The Swift was updated in 2021 and Maruti Suzuki claimed that it comes with the Heartect platform and is equipped with various safety features. However, the car has scored 7.08 and 16.23 in the crash test.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios

Hyundai is the second largest car brand in India and sells some of the most widely popular models in the country. The upmarket hatchback scored only two stars with 7.05 and 15 points for safety in the Global NCAP crash tests. Additionally, its bodyshell integrity was reported to be unstable.

Hyundai Creta

Hyundai Creta is considered to be one of the best selling SUV in India. This stylish SUV was tested by Global NCAP in 2022 and got only a three-star rating. Hyundai Creta got 28.29 points due to bodyshell integrity being unstable.

Kia Seltos

The Kia Seltos is basically a rebadged model of the Hyundai Creta. The SUV shares the same platform and many key components with the Hyundai Creta. Like its Hyundai-badged models, the Seltos gets a three-star rating in safety with 8.03 points. The SUV scored three stars in child occupant protection with 15 points.

Renault Kwid

Renault Kwid is a small but popular hatchback. It is one of the most successful cars launched by the French automaker in India till date. The hatchback has received only one-star safety rating for adult and child safety.
