What are the five-point demands of the Grand Alliance?

  • First demand- Election Commission of India should ensure level playing field in Lok Sabha elections.
  • Second demand- The Election Commission should forcefully stop the action taken by IT, ED and CBI against opposition political parties for the purpose of rigging the elections.
  • Third demand- Hemant Soren and Arvind Kejriwal should be released immediately.
  • Fourth demand: The forcible action to financially strangle opposition parties during elections should be stopped immediately.
  • Fifth demand- A SIT should be constituted under the supervision of the Supreme Court to investigate the allegations of vendetta, extortion and money laundering by the BJP by using electoral bonds.

Rahul Gandhi accuses PM Modi of ‘match fixing’

In the opposition rally, Rahul Gandhi alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to do ‘match fixing’ in this Lok Sabha election, so that the Constitution can be abolished by winning the election with a huge majority. Gandhi called upon the people to vote with all their strength to stop this ‘match fixing’ as this is an election to save the Constitution and democracy. Kharge called PM Modi a dictator
