Indian batsman Shubhman Gill is currently batting at the third position for the team after Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Rohit Sharma. Gill had not scored a half-century in 12 innings at the No. 3 position and when he dismissed James Anderson by pushing the ball outside the off-stump in the first innings of the Vizag Test, it seemed as if his days as a Test cricketer were over. But he missed scoring a half-century in the first innings of the second test also. But by scoring a century during the second innings, he proved that he is now ready to bat in this order.

Scored a century after 11 months
