Income of people of Bihar increased, Bihar reached 10th position in terms of Gross Domestic Product

The income of the people of the state is also increasing year after year. At current prices, the annual income of the people of the state has increased by Rs 6613 compared to last year, i.e. an increase of 12.11% in the per capita income in 2022-23 as compared to the year 2021-22. This is much better than last year. This is about 4% more than the neighboring state Jharkhand. The per capita income in the year 2021-22 was Rs 47498, which will increase to Rs 54111 (at current prices) in the year 2022-23. This has been revealed in the report released by RBI on the finances of the states.

Decrease in food grain production in Bihar

The production of food grains has increased across the country in one year. This is the situation when food grain production declined in Bihar, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand. According to the report of Reserve Bank of India, food grain production in the country has increased by 4.7% in one year. Whereas in Bihar there has been a decrease of 69 kg in food grain production per hectare. As against 891 kg per hectare food grain production in the year 2021-22, the yield in the year 2022-23 has been 822 kg. The reduction in Jharkhand was highest at 40%. The production in 2022-23 was 3,30,534 thousand tonnes as compared to 3,15,615 thousand tonnes in 2021-22. Food grain production has increased by 13.5% in Madhya Pradesh, 6.6% in Punjab, 8.1% in Rajasthan and 3.5% in Maharashtra.

Daily wages in Bihar are higher than in Gujarat.

According to the Reserve Bank report, daily wages in Bihar are higher than in Gujarat. The daily wage in Gujarat is Rs 323, while in Bihar it is Rs 342. The daily wages of laborers are highest in Kerala. The workers there get an average of Rs 852 per day. Whereas in second place, workers in Tamil Nadu get Rs 500 per day. The worst situation among big states is in Madhya Pradesh, where the daily wage is the lowest at Rs 278. It is Rs 371 in Maharashtra, Rs 393 in Rajasthan and Rs 352 in Uttar Pradesh.

Tamil Nadu is at the forefront in borrowing matters

According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data, Tamil Nadu has emerged as the state with the highest market borrowing for the third consecutive year. During the April-February period of FY 2023, Tamil Nadu’s gross market borrowing through State Development Loan (SDL) stood at Rs 68,000 crore. Tamil Nadu plans to raise debt of ₹1,43,197.93 crore during 2023–24 and also proposes to repay ₹51,331.79 crore, bringing the net debt to ₹91,866.14 crore, state Finance Minister Palanivel Thiyaga Rajan said in his budget speech. will be. According to the budget estimates for 2023-24, the fiscal deficit is estimated at 3.25% of GSDP. In FY 2022-23, Tamil Nadu’s gross borrowing was Rs 90,000 crore, of which net borrowing stood at Rs 42,003 crore as of January. States are also allowed to carry forward the remaining borrowing limit from the previous year.
