Inauguration of three-day Vedic conference in Patna, Vedgurus arrived from all over the country, a grand procession

For the first time on the holy land of capital Patna, a three-day Vedic conference is being organized at Maharana Pratap Bhawan. Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar inaugurated it by lighting the lamp on Thursday. And before this, a Shobha Yatra was taken out from Mahavir Mandir to Maharana Pratap Bhawan. This conference has been organized under the joint aegis of Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan (Ujjain) and Mahavir Mandir (Patna). On the first day of this conference, Vedic gurus and disciples from five states recited together.

Amazing view of recitation of all four Vedas

On the first day of the Vedic Sammelan at Maharana Pratap Bhavan, a wonderful sight was seen from the morning session and the afternoon session as well from the recitation of one branch of Rigveda, three branches of Yajurveda, three branches of Samveda and two branches of Atharvaveda. Apart from Bihar, more than 100 Vedic teachers from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bengal and Manipur recited the Vedas. In the Vedic Sammelan, there was a special discussion about the arrival of two Veda teachers from a violence-prone state like Manipur.

Grand Veda Sandesh Shobha Yatra took place

Before the inauguration of the Vedic conference, a grand Ved Sandesh Shobha Yatra took place from Mahavir Temple on Thursday morning. Acharya Kishore Kunal flagged it off with Ved Bhagwan’s ride. Pashupatinath came out with a long queue of students and devotees of Veda Vidyalaya. This Shobha Yatra reached Maharana Pratap Bhawan via Kadamkuan, Nala Road while reciting Vedas. On the way, the townspeople welcomed the Shobha Yatra by showering flowers at various places. The message of public awareness towards Vedas was given through Shobha Yatra.

Need to present the expressions of Vedic hymns in a simple and easy way: Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar

Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that establishing coordination between our tradition and spirituality and present modernity, there is a need to present the expressions of Vedic hymns in today’s perspective in a simple and easy way so that everyone can understand them easily. He said that despite one thousand years of foreign slavery and invasions, our spiritual consciousness is alive. Many foreign scholars, including Max Müller, interpreted the Vedas in their own way and their interest lay in it.

Veda study should be included in children’s education: Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar

Emphasizing the need for harmony in the country, Arlekar said that its meaning comes from the Vedas. He said that Vedadhyayan should be included in the education of children. Bihar has a rich tradition. Emphasized the need to propagate Vedas among the younger generation. He said that the soul of India lies in spirituality and we have cherished it for thousands of years. We will be able to make India a world guru only by taking this subject forward with everyone’s efforts.

Vedas are the basis of religion: Kishore Kunal

Acharya Kishore Kunal said that Vedas are the basis of religion. Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan is doing commendable work for the promotion of Vedas. Kunal proposed the establishment of Ved Vidyalaya at Ismailpur in Vaishali, Bihar or Kaithwalia in East Champaran. He said that if Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan gives affiliation anywhere in both the places, then Mahavir Mandir will build and establish Ved Vidyalaya there. For this, sufficient land is available at both the places. Acharya Kishore Kunal told transparency as the basis behind the income of Mahavir Mandir from 11 thousand rupees annually to 10 lakh rupees per day. He gave information about works of public interest including Ram Rasoi, Sita Rasoi, assistance to poor patients.

On the occasion, former head of Sanskrit department of Patna University, Ramvilas Chowdhary, former union minister Sanjay Paswan, head of Sanskrit department of Nava Nalanda Mahavihar, Prof. Vijay Kumar Karna, coordinator of the program Pt Bhavnath Jha, Pranshankar Majumdar etc were present. The stage was conducted by Dr. Shivanand Shukla, assistant professor of Government Sanskrit College.
