Chakradharpur (West Singhbhum), Ravi: A female bank employee committed suicide by hanging herself in Chakradharpur in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. The name of the woman who committed suicide is said to be Geeta Pradhan. The deceased committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope on the door frame of the under-construction room of her own house. Geeta Pradhan was originally a resident of Chakradharpur, but after being transferred to Koderma, she went into depression. The deceased’s husband Ashish Kumar Pradhan is working in the electricity department in Tatanagar of Chakradharpur railway division.
Sent children to school before committing suicide
This incident is being reported at around 10 am on Tuesday morning in Harijan Basti of Chakradharpur city. It is being told that before committing suicide, the deceased Geeta Pradhan had prepared breakfast for her two sons and then sent them to school. After the children went to school, Geeta Pradhan went to the under-construction room on the upper floor of her house. It is feared that after finding herself alone here, she tied a rope on the door frame of the room under construction and swung herself.
Husband was searching for Geeta in the house
The deceased’s husband Ashish Pradhan was searching for his wife in the house. When he went to the upper floor he found his wife hanging. The husband informed the police of Chakradharpur police station about the incident. Police reached the spot and rescued Geeta Pradhan from the noose and sent her to Chakradharpur sub-division hospital. Here the doctors declared Geeta Pradhan dead. After this, post-mortem of the dead body was done and the body was handed over to the husband.

Geeta was in depression due to transfer
It is being told that Geeta Pradhan earlier worked as a clerk in the main branch of Chakradharpur. After this he was transferred as a bank manager in Otar, a rural area of Chakradharpur. After this, he was recently transferred to Koderma. After being transferred to Koderma, she started living in severe depression. It is suspected that he may have committed suicide due to depression.
Mother’s shadow lifted from both sons’ heads
However, after the news of this incident, there is a wave of mourning in Harijan Basti. After receiving information about the incident, a crowd of bank employees and railway employees gathered outside the deceased’s house. Here the police is taking legal action after getting information about the entire matter. After the death of the female banker, her two sons, 12 year old Nishikant and 5 year old Gaurav, have lost their mother.
