A mutual agreement has been reached among the top leaders of the India Alliance regarding the distribution of seats and the post of coordinator. On Wednesday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had an informal virtual conversation with the top leaders of ‘India’. According to sources, all the top leaders have come close to agreeing on the next meeting of ‘India’ and the issue of convener. Two big meetings of Congress have been called on Thursday under the chairmanship of Kharge. In the first meeting of the Seat Sharing Committee to be held on Thursday, the distribution of seats in other states including Bihar will also be discussed.

Consensus can be reached on the post of coordinator

For this, senior leaders of Bihar Congress have been summoned to Delhi. The second meeting of Congress will be on the issue of Congress’s role in ‘India’ and giving responsibility to top leaders. Sources say that the party is ready to make Nitish Kumar the convenor of ‘India’. The announcement will be made in one to two days after formal agreement among the leaders of the constituent parties. In the last meeting, Nitish Kumar had stressed the need to finalize the seat-sharing arrangement ‘as soon as possible’.

Rahul will stay in Bihar for five days during the trip!

Senior leaders of Bihar Congress have been summoned to Delhi. There will be a meeting of the seat sharing committee formed at the national level of the party on Thursday among all the senior leaders including state president Dr. Akhilesh Prasad Singh. In the meeting, there will be a discussion on how many seats Congress wants in the alliance in Bihar. The seat sharing committee includes former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Mukul Wasnik, Salman Khurshid and Bihar in-charge Mohan Prakash. In the meeting, the route chart of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra in Bihar will also be discussed. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi is likely to stay in Bihar for four to five days during his visit.

CM met Lalan at his house

Here, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met former JDU national president Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh late on Wednesday evening at his personal residence in Patna. During this, both of them met for 10 to 15 minutes and after knowing about their well-being, they discussed the latest political situation. Meanwhile, Building Construction Minister Ashok Chaudhary met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Major decisions will be taken soon: Tejashwi

Amidst all the speculations about India’s virtual meeting, Tejashwi Yadav said on Wednesday that discussions are going on among the leaders of the constituent parties regarding the next meeting of India. Some major decisions are expected to be taken in the next meeting. Tejashwi said that there has been discussion regarding the date and modalities. Everyone will be informed if there is any progress. It is believed that a virtual meeting can be held on January 6.
