Tree fell on school shed, electric pole also damaged

A major accident was averted during tree cutting on Thursday in Mahana near Kumarbagh. While cutting a huge age-old Peepal tree in the campus of Mahanakuli Primary School, its branch fell on the kitchen and toilet of the school. Due to this, the roof of the kitchen and the boundary of the toilet got damaged. Not only this, due to a heavy branch falling on the electric wire, the electric pole broke and fell on the road. It was fortunate that some people and a young man riding a bike narrowly escaped being crushed by the pole.

Road will be 10 meters wide, goods carriers will benefit

Starting from 15 days, the width of this road is being increased by 2.5 meters on both sides. Along with this, a two meter wide flank has to be provided on both sides. At present this five meter road will be made 10 meters long. Chanpatia Start Up Zone, Kumarbagh Industrial Area will greatly benefit from this. At present, there is traffic jam here due to goods vehicles. Widening will ease traffic.
