In fact, near the under-construction Patna-Gaya-Dobhi NH-83, around 2 o’clock in the night, criminals riding on a Bolero saw the patrol car of Dhanrua police and opened fire on it. Out of the two bullets fired by the criminals, one bullet hit the bonnet of the vehicle while the other one hit the road beneath the vehicle. Meanwhile, seeing themselves surrounded by Dhanrua and Punpun police, the criminals fled leaving their vehicle near Morhar river. Police seized the said Bolero and searched it. During the search, the police recovered a country-made pistol, two kiosks and a mobile phone.

Police collecting information about criminals

The police is currently busy collecting information regarding those criminals. The police is also busy gathering information about where the criminals riding the Bolero were coming from and what their plan was. At present, the police have registered an FIR in this regard based on his statement.

Dhanrua police was patrolling near Nadwan

Like every day, Dhanrua police was patrolling on NH-83. Assistant sub-inspector Jitendra Kumar Mishra and home guard personnel were traveling in the police vehicle. Police station incharge Satyendra Kumar said that at around quarter to two in the night, some people riding on a Bolero boarded the under construction NH near Nadwan via the old road (NH-83). Seeing the people coming in the vehicle so late in the night, the police signaled to stop the vehicle.

Criminals ran away leaving the car

Seeing the police, the criminals started running away from there. After giving this information to the police station incharge, ASI Jitendra Kumar Mishra started chasing the vehicle. Meanwhile, the police station incharge informed the Punpun police about this and requested them to surround them further. Here, seeing the Dhanrua police chasing them and the Punpun police coming from the front, the criminals first fired two bullets at the Dhanrua police car and then parked their car in a lane near the Morhar river and started running away.

Patna number is marked on Bolero, Hilsa documents also recovered from the vehicle

Patna’s number is marked on the Bolero seized by the criminals. The police station incharge told that the registration number of Bolero is – BR 1AP – 1356. However, he has expressed apprehension that the registration number may also be fake. The mobile phone recovered from the vehicle is also locked. The police station chief said that efforts are being made to break the lock, so that the criminals can be identified on the basis of mobile phones. A cash memo has also been recovered from the vehicle. The cash memo is from a shop located in Hilsa, Nalanda. Due to this, a possibility is being raised that the criminals are not from Nalanda or Hilsa side only.
