In Jharkhand, an elderly woman has been murdered after accusing her of being a witch. The woman was killed by cutting her leg. One person has also been injured in this attack. Police have arrested the accused.
An elderly woman was killed by calling her a witch in Ranchi’s Nagdi.
The matter is of Kambhatoli village of Nagdi police station area of the capital Ranchi. An elderly woman of the village was attacked with a stick, accusing her of being a witch. The woman died in the attack, while another person was injured.
55 year old woman Birsi was attacked with a hanger.
The incident happened in the morning on Saturday (April 6). The elderly woman who died in the attack has been identified as Birsi Mirdha. His age was 55 years. It has been told that a person named Bharat Mirdha from the same village attacked Birsi Mirdha, who lived in his neighbourhood, with a hanger and killed her.
Granddaughter who came forward to save grandmother also got injured in the attack
Seeing Birsi Mirdha being attacked, her granddaughter came forward to save her grandmother. But, Bharat could not save her grandmother from Mirdha’s attack. Birsi’s granddaughter was also injured in the attack. He has been admitted to the hospital.

Bharat Mirdha ran away into Lodhama forest after killing Birsi.
After killing Birsi Mirdha by hitting her with a leg, the accused Bharat Mirdha fled towards Lodhama forest. However, the police team caught the accused. The accused is being questioned by the police.
