In Bihar, the transport department will start operating buses from all medical college hospitals through a special route so that patients or their family members do not face any problem in reaching the hospital from the bus stand or railway station. The department has instructed all district transport offices to prepare a route chart in this regard, so that operations can start by March. At present this facility is not available at the government level in Bihar.
Special route will be made around hospitals
According to departmental officials, a special route will also be decided before starting the operation of buses from the Medical College. In which the effort will be to connect the patients coming to all the government hospitals on that route. They can also get direct transportation to reach the bus and railway station.
The number of buses will increase according to the crowd, small vehicles will also remain
The transport department will increase the number of buses in view of the crowd in hospitals. Initially two buses will operate. After this the number of buses will be increased. According to the officials, in view of the crowd in the hospitals, there will be a provision of small vehicles for the patients, which will be monitored at the departmental level and the fare will also be decided by the department itself.
Bus will open from IGIMS campus
According to the department, patients coming for treatment at IGIMS will get the facility of CT service buses for various routes including Patna Junction from the campus itself. At the same time, the patients and their families returning after treatment will not have to run on the road to catch the train. Keeping in view the convenience of the common people, the Transport Department has decided to connect the IGIMS campus with the city bus service route. Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal has inspected the premises for starting the bus service. The operation will be done by Bihar State Road Transport Corporation.
