Due to heavy storm and rain in many cities of Bihar on Saturday, trees fell at many places and cracks appeared in houses at some places. Due to this reason people had to face many problems. Traffic was disrupted for some time in Khiriyaghat of Bettiah due to falling of trees due to the storm.
In Darbhanga city also, due to stormy rain, a tree broke and fell on the main road at Chatti Chowk of Lahariya Sarai, due to which the traffic was completely disrupted. Due to the falling of the tree, a balustrade also broke badly and goods worth thousands of rupees lying in it were also damaged.
A house in Naya Bazaar was also damaged due to the storm along with heavy rains in Bettiah on Saturday. A part of the wall of this house broke and fell.
Monsoon is becoming active once again in the state till October 4. During this period, there are chances of good rains in most parts of the state including the capital Patna. There is a possibility of heavy to heavy rain at most places in South Bihar. In view of these seasonal conditions, an alert has been issued. IMD has issued a special warning especially regarding Thanka.
According to the information released by IMD, there are chances of good rains at most places in Southern Bihar and at some places in North-Eastern Bihar from October 1 to 4.
IMD has issued an alert saying that the water level of rivers may increase during this period. There may be loss to life, property and animals due to storm and thunder. Fruit trees and crops may also be damaged.
According to the official report of IMD, a low pressure area with circulation is present in the northeast and east central Bay of Bengal. Due to its effect, rainy season may start in Bihar.
It is noteworthy that till Friday in the monsoon season, Bihar has received 755 mm of rain. This is 24 percent less than normal. Normally there has been 988 mm rainfall between these days.
