Her parents allege that she was burnt in the furnace by holding her hair, due to which Her face, throat and chest were burnt. Based on the complaint letter, the police have registered an FIR against her husband Ashok Kumar, mother-in-law Shanti Devi and sister-in-law Geeta Devi, working in the GST department, under dowry death, harassment and other sections. At present, the police have registered an FIR against the accused husband Ashok Kumar. Kumar is being arrested and interrogated. According to Baradari police, Dinesh Kumar, resident of Rajat Vihar, Izzatnagar, had married his daughter Akanksha to Ashok Kumar, resident of Durga Nagar in the year 2019. Ashok is working as a clerk in the GST department. While her father Jagdish is working in a workshop in Sharan Roadways. Dinesh alleges that he spent Rs 10 lakh on his daughter’s marriage. Despite this, his in-laws used to harass his daughter for dowry. They used to demand money every day. Sunday At 8.00 in the morning, Ashok called and informed that Akanksha had set herself on fire. When everyone reached the daughter’s in-laws house, the accused told that she has been admitted to Ishaan Hospital.

Police collected evidence from the incident site

When we reached there, the daughter’s face, throat and chest were badly burnt. Both hands were also burnt. Akanksha died during treatment in the early hours of Monday morning. Dinesh alleged that her in-laws threw her daughter into the furnace by holding her hands and legs because apart from Akanksha’s face, neck, chest and hands, there were no burn marks anywhere. The hair was not burnt, on the basis of which it was said that the accused caught hold of the daughter’s hair and threw it in the furnace. On the basis of the complaint, CO III Anita Chauhan and Inspector Baradari Amit Pandey along with the force inspected the spot. Matchbox, ashes and a cold drink bottle were found from the spot, in which inflammable material is said to have been brought. Here, based on the complaint letter, the police have filed an FIR against the husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law and are interrogating Ashok.

Inspector Amit Pandey of Baradari police station said that on the basis of the complaint letter in the case, an FIR has been registered against the accused husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Accused Ashok Kumar is being interrogated.
