Bareilly : Miscreants armed with weapons looted Rs 8.50 lakh from a cashier near Civil Lines Circuit House turn in Bareilly Kotwali police station area of Uttar Pradesh. They threw pepper spray in the cashier’s eyes and dropped them on the spot. Police took both the accused into custody. After this, the police is busy interrogating the robbers. Sharad Saxena, a resident of Bhud of Premnagar police station area of the city, is a cashier in the showroom of SB Telecom located at the Brick Pajaya intersection of chocolate distributor Kapil Aggarwal. He took Rs 8.5 lakh from the scooty to HDFC Bank on Thursday afternoon. While going towards the Circuit House, two miscreants pointed a gun at him. He threw pepper spray in his eyes and made him fall. After this, they looted Rs 8.5 lakh kept in the trunk of the scooty.
Dry fruit seller ran and caught the robbers
After this, the robbers started running away from there. A dry fruit seller near Ghat Nasthal caught hold of both the robbers. One of the criminals ran away from there. But with the help of people, he caught the other person. The accused was from Allahabad district. Anuj Bharti is a resident of Chhota Bagra Naya Bazar of Colonelganj police station area. He was interrogated. After this, SOG also caught the second accused Jayant. As soon as information about the incident was received, all the police officers including CO, Inspector reached the spot. Accused Anuj Bharti was interrogated. Told that he lives with Jayant in front of Green Park of Baradari police station area. Four days ago, Anuj Bharti had come to Jayant from the village. Both of them planned a robbery on Diwali. After this, the robbery was carried out at the Circuit House turn. The looted goods have been recovered from Jayant. Sharad A case of robbery has been registered against the accused on behalf of Saxena. Kotwali Inspector said that a case has been registered. The accused will be sent to jail after being produced in the court. As soon as the information about the case was received, all the traders reached the Kotwali. Demanded strict action against the miscreants.
Saved life by risking life
A couple selling dry fruits near Circuit House intersection risked their lives to catch the accused miscreants. After proper investigation of the incident, CCTV cameras are also being scrutinized. Along with this, the criminal record of the accused from Allahabad is also being scrutinized.
