ED claims: Pankaj Mishra got illegal mining done while in jail
The ED has claimed that Pankaj Mishra has done illegal mining while in jail. The ED wrote a letter to Sahibganj SP Anuranjan Kispotta on Friday. Its copy was given to Sahibganj DC and DGP Jharkhand. It has been mentioned in the letter that on April 5, ED has found evidence of illegal mining at many places including Lemon hill. In such a situation, include these facts in the research of the case registered in the ST-SC police station on December 1, 2022. Also take necessary legal action.
In a letter to the SP, the ED has said that no action has been taken in this matter, nor has illegal mining stopped. In the survey conducted by drone, marks of movement of JCB and other vehicles have been found on many unpaved roads. It is noteworthy that in December 2022, on the statement of village head of Bhawani Chowki, Vijay Hansda, a case was registered regarding illegal mining at other places including Simariya Mauja’s Lemon Hill. Pankaj Mishra, Vishnu Yadav, Pavitra Yadav and Bachha Yadav are accused in this case.
What is in the FIR lodged by the DMO
In the FIR lodged by Vibhuti Kumar, DMO of Sahibangaj, at Jirwabari police station, it has been written that on April 5, 2023, raids were conducted in Mauja Marikutty, Temba Simaria, Chuve Chua, Jokmari, Lalmati, Bhurkunda. Zonal Officer, Mandri, Section Officer, Pollution Control Board, Ranchi, Regional Officer, Pollution Control Board, Dumka, District Mining Officer, Sahibganj, Under Registrar, Rajmahal, Forest Area Ranger, Officers of Directorate of Enforcement, Zonal Office Ranchi, Zonal Amin , Mandro, Amin done by Forest Department, Sahibganj.
During investigation, illegal mining was found in spots number 80, 78, 79, 8, 91 etc. of Mauza-Simaria and Bua. An FIR has been registered against Abhay Kumar alias Pintu Yadav on this area in the past also on December 2017, 02.02.2021 and 08.09.2022. Illegal stone quarrying was noticed at Bagh No. 23, 69 70 71 of Mauza-Simaria. In the same area gunpowder was also seen being inserted into the hole by making a nail hole. Due to which it seems that illegal mining is still being done. Illegal mining has been done on this area in the past by Vishnu Kumar Yadav alias Chhotu Yadav Navatola, Sahibganj and others, there is no mining lease or license issued at the said site, which makes it clear that this is a completely illegal area. Is. An FIR has also been registered on this area in the past also vide letter dated 27.11.2022.
The illegal site was again inspected on 5th April. It was found that illegal mining is taking place. Due to this government revenue is being stolen. No person can excavate or transport minerals without holding a lease or license. Therefore, please be pleased to take legal action against the person involved in the above mentioned illegal mining and transportation work under Jharkhand Minor Mineral Concession Rules 2004, Mines and Mineral Development and Regulation 1957 and Explosives Act and other sections.
