Ranchi Excise Intelligence Department has busted an illegal liquor factory in Jamtara. Under the leadership of Joint Commissioner of Ranchi Excise Department Gajendra Singh, Deputy Commissioner (Excise) of Santhal Pargana region Manoj Kumar and Assistant Commissioner of Dhanbad Zone Sanjay Mehta, raids were conducted at several places in Supaidih village of Jamtara police station area.
Manoj Mandal and former chief Lakhindra Murmu arrested
During this, the team arrested local leader of illegal liquor business Manoj Mandal and former head Lakhindra Murmu. During the raid, the police seized thousands of liters of prepared liquor of different brands from the house of former head Lakhindra Murmu in Hudalbeda Tola of Supaydih village. Apart from this, thousands of liters of raw spirit was also found in dozens of drams, which was confiscated and taken to Jamtara Excise Department in vehicles.
Excise Intelligence took action in Jamtara on secret information
The Excise Intelligence Department had received information about illegal liquor being made in Jamtara. When a team was formed and it was investigated, all the information was found to be correct. It was revealed that the spurious liquor produced here is consumed in different areas of Bihar. After this a team was formed and raids were conducted. Police recovered huge quantity of liquor, liquor making equipment and raw construction material from here.

These people including the Excise Superintendent were included in the raiding team
All the seized goods are being brought to the excise department in various vehicles. The raid team included Excise Superintendent Saurabh Tiwari, Jamtara SDPO Vikas Anand Laguri, Jamtara police station in-charge Rajesh Kumar Mandal and SI of Excise Department.
