Kanpur: Cryptojacking…Torgen…Phishing…Password hacking…10 such cyber crimes have been identified, which pose a great threat to the country. Now IIT Kanpur will take these threats as a challenge and find their solutions. These challenges are related to every field, which are often the focus of cyber hackers. This ten-point project has been prepared in the country’s state-of-the-art lab C-3 I Hub built in the institute, the solution of which will be solved by startups working on cyber security along with scientists. Tools and systems will be developed using state-of-the-art technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things etc.
C-3I Hub has been created regarding cyber security, where the team of scientists and startups are doing new research and developing tools. Scientists of the institute are doing research to provide security to critical infrastructure (power plant, highway, airport, port, oil refinery etc.), in which success has been achieved to a great extent. The team of scientists has identified ten challenges to keep the country safe from cyber attacks. The team of scientists will try to develop solutions to all these challenges in the next one year, so that people can get rid of cyber fraud. All these challenges are related to the common people.
These are the ten challenges
Project in-charge of IIT Kanpur C-3I Hub, Prof. Manindra Aggarwal says that a lot of research and projects are going on in the institute regarding cyber security. In view of the current activity of hackers and increasing incidents, ten challenges have been identified, which will be solved with state-of-the-art technology. Soon startups and scientists will start working on these ten challenges: mobile attacks, password theft, data breach, cryptojacking, malware, ransomware, Tarzan, phishing, SQL injection, social engineering.
These technologies of IIT are making the path easier
● Blockchain Technology: This technology keeps important documents and records safe in digitalized form. By using this technology, no hacker can tamper with the documents.
● Shwasa mask N-95 mask kept people safe from infections like Covid. It protects from dust, smoke, poisonous gases as well as bacteria and viruses.
● Portable Ventilator Nocarobotics’ portable ventilator was developed in just 90 days. Scientists and startups developed together in Covid infection. More than 4000 ventilators are being used in different hospitals.
● Artificial Rain: Scientists have discovered the technology of artificial rain and have also conducted successful trials. Following the need and government orders, IIT is capable of producing artificial rain anytime, anywhere.
