IIT BHU student accused of brutality case sent to jail for 14 days judicial custody, BJP expelled

Three accused arrested for brutalizing a B.Tech student at IIT BHU in Varanasi have been identified as BJP leaders. All three accused were produced in the court, from where they were sent to jail for 14 days judicial custody. Now the police is preparing to interrogate the accused by taking them on custodial remand. Gangster action will also be taken against the accused. The arrested accused have been identified as Kunal Pandey, resident of Brij Enclave Colony, Saksham Patel of Jivadhipur Bajardiha and Abhishek Chauhan alias Anand. Kunal is the coordinator of IT cell in BJP metropolitan unit. Saksham Patel is the co-coordinator. There is a board of BJP booth president outside Abhishek Chauhan’s house. However, he is said to be a member of the working committee. Since their arrest, photos of the three accused with top BJP leaders are going viral. Police have recovered the Bullet motorcycle and mobile phone used in the crime from the accused. On the other hand, due to their connection with BJP and attack from opposition parties, the party has expelled all three accused. DCP Kashi Zone RS Gautam said that with the help of CCTV camera footage, the three accused were identified and arrested from their house by the Surveillance Cell, Crime Branch and Lanka police station. The accused will be taken on custodial remand and interrogated. Strict preventive action will be taken effectively against all three.
