Patna regional center of IGNOU has secured fifth position in terms of admission in the entire country. Regional director Abhilash Nayak has given this information. Nayak said that there is a continuous increase in enrollment in the IGNOU regional centre.
The enrollment number, which was more than 70 thousand last year, has now crossed 80 thousand. Till now 80261 students have taken admission. Along with this, 10 new courses have also been started this time. The enrollment process is going on in this. Along with this, five types of courses have also been started for fire fighters.
He said that as per UGC norms, learners of any regular university or open and distance learning university can pursue two programs simultaneously to pursue their career and enhance their employability. Many new programs have been introduced in the center located in the regional center complex. Centralized counseling facility will be provided for programs with low enrollment.
Fee exemption facility for SC, ST students
Giving information in the press conference on Friday, Regional Director Dr. Abhilash Nayak said that for the July cycle, fee waiver will be provided to SC and ST students for three programs like BSG, BCOMG. Female graduates of IGNOU are eligible for an incentive of Rs 50,000 under the Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana of Bihar Government. IGNOU students can apply for all the available scholarships by visiting the National Scholarship Portal. Sanjaya Patel, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Dr. Shalini, Dr. Shalini Dixit, Dr. Asif Iqbal, Anand Kumar were present on the occasion.
