Ignoring ED summons, CM Kejriwal left for Vipassana, now questioning will not be possible for so many days

Ignoring the ED summons, Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has gone for Vipassana. ED had summoned CM Kejriwal for questioning on December 21 in the alleged liquor policy scam case. On this day the ED was going to interrogate him in the case. But today i.e. on Wednesday, CM Kejriwal left for the already scheduled Vipassana program. CM Kejriwal will stay in the Vipassana camp till 30th December. During this period he will not be able to appear before the ED.

ED had issued summons
It is noteworthy that ED had issued a new summons to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Monday for questioning in the money laundering case related to excise policy. ED officials said that CM Kejriwal was to leave for Vipassana meditation session on Tuesday, but he could not do so because he had to attend the meeting of Alliance ‘India’. He told that he left on Wednesday afternoon for the pre-scheduled meditation session.

Aam Aadmi Party had said this
On the summons issued by the ED, the Aam Aadmi Party had said on Tuesday that the party’s lawyers are studying the ED notice and legally appropriate steps will be taken. Regarding going on Vipassana, AAP said that CM Kejriwal’s Vipassana session was pre-planned and this information was public.

CM Kejriwal’s program was pre-determined – Raghav Chadha
In this matter, AAP MP Raghav Chadha has said that CM Kejriwal’s program was pre-determined. Everyone knows that the Chief Minister is going for Vipassana session on 19th December. He said that he regularly goes for this meditation session. This is a pre-determined and pre-announced program.

Ignoring ED summons for the second time in a row
This is the second consecutive time that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will not attend the questioning on the summons of ED. Earlier, ED had sent summons to CM Kejriwal on November 2, but he did not participate in the questioning, calling the notice illegal and politically motivated.
