According to traffic rules, helmet is mandatory for people above five years of age, but the department has found from the districts that apart from the helmeted driver, college and school children sitting behind do not wear helmets. According to the report received by the traffic police, a fine of Rs 2500 will be imposed on any vehicle having black glass. This campaign will be run by the traffic police for seven days. According to the report, in the month of August, with the help of HD devices and CCTV cameras installed in Smart City, 33269 vehicles were fined 4.11 crores. On August 31, a fine of Rs 8 lakh was imposed on 644 vehicles plying on the roads of the capital Patna. On the same day, 31 vehicles violating the traffic rules were also seized by the police. The CCTV department engaged in Smart City Patna has instructed all the districts of Bihar state that all the agencies should call and issue alerts to the vehicle drivers before the deadline.
