West Singhbhum, Ravi Kumar : Another innocent rural woman has died after coming under the grip of IED planted by CPI Maoist in Saranda forest to harm the police. This incident is of Ghaur Naxal-affected Maridiri forest located on the border of Goilkera police station and Mufassil police station of West Singhbhum district. The incident is being told on Friday morning. When Gangi Surin, a resident of Patahatu village, was going to fetch wood from the forest. Then the woman came under the grip of the IED planted by the Naxalites. Due to which he died on the spot.
The local police administration was informed about the incident by the villagers, but till now the police has not left for the spot. Being a Naxal-affected area, the police will leave with a contingent of CRPF jawans for the spot, taking utmost care. Though contact has been made with SP Ashutosh Shekhar of West Singhbhum district in this regard, but he could not be contacted. Due to which detailed information could not be found.
