Hyundai launches dry wash service initiative

Let us tell you that in order to conserve water in India, Hyundai introduced ‘Dry Wash’ technology to clean the cars and maintain their shine. The company has included this technology in its service network since 2017. The company noted that about 120 liters of water is required to clean a car. The company says that the dry wash process is quite simple and has played a vital role in providing the same level of service satisfaction to the customers.

Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “Through our dry wash service initiative, we have saved over 650 million liters of water while servicing over 5.5 million cars across Hyundai’s service network in India in the last five years. He said that this much water can meet the daily water requirement of more than 4.8 million people.

The dry wash process is a different process from traditional car cleaning. In this, jet spray is used instead of water. Under this process, jet spray is used instead of water to clean the car and maintain its shine. First of all, while cleaning the cars, the employees clean the dust lying on them. After this it has to be sprayed and wiped. Cars are cleaned using spray and buff. Hyundai started using jet spray instead of water for cleaning cars in its service centers and through this, 650 million liters of water was saved in five years.
