The weather center has issued orange and yellow alerts regarding this.

Continuous rain in Patratu area for 24 hours

Due to waterlogging on the roads of Patratu area, people are facing a lot of problems in commuting. On the other hand, Patratu-Ranchi road remained blocked for a long time due to a big tree falling on the road near PTPS area Patel Chowk.
Water level of Patratu Dam increased
The water level of Patratu Dam is increasing very fast. Due to rapid flow of water into the dam from the surrounding forests including Patratu-Ranchi valley area, the water level of the dam has reached 1324 RL. PTPS remaining asset management people are keeping an eye on the dam. It is being estimated that if there is continuous rain like this then the water level of the dam will increase significantly. PTPS Balance Asset Management starts opening the dam gates as a precautionary measure after the water level reaches 1328-29 RL. Apart from this, the dry small river passing through Kalighat under PTPS Colony complex is also quite filled with water. Apart from this, the road leading from the railway gate to the station, including Bhagat Singh Chowk, Block Mode in Patratu, is knee-deep in water. Due to which the pedestrians are facing a lot of difficulty.
