Rath Yatras were taken out with much fanfare on Tuesday at Barkagaon in Hazaribagh and Bandgaon in West Singhbhum. During this, a huge crowd of devotees gathered at both the places. There was a long queue of devotees since morning to have darshan of Lord Jagannath. In Barkagaon of Hazaribagh, MLA Amba Prasad first started pulling the chariot. She attended here as the chief guest. At the same time, a special program of Chhonra Paonra was organized in Bandgaon at 5 pm as part of religious rituals. During this, the whole area echoed with the chants of Lord Jagannath.

How was worship done in Bandgaon

The temple premises were first cleaned in Bandgaon of West Singhbhum. After this, after sprinkling Ganga water, Pandit Jagdish Chandra Thakur and Bharatbhushan (Tula) Mishra duly worshiped. The chariot was pulled from its garden with Lord Jagannath, brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra sitting on the throne of the chariot.
