The report titled ‘Assessing the Impact of GenAI on the Indian Healthcare Ecosystem’ states that healthcare is one of the leading sectors using GenAI in the country and the innovation has had a huge impact on the industry.
Elon Musk made a big prediction regarding AI, said- AI will become smarter than humans by the end of 2029.
Most Indian industries such as finance, e-commerce and manufacturing are gradually adopting GenAI and other AI technologies to increase operational efficiency and automate processes.
According to the report, especially in healthcare, GenAI can enhance advanced analytics and improve clinical recommendations and targeted interventions for patients.

The number of GenAI startups in India has more than doubled between 2021 and 2023. Their overall market size is growing at the rate of 27.66 percent and is expected to increase to US$ 4.20 billion by the year 2030.
Arnav Basu, consultant, PwC India, said its impact will range from patient care to streamlining of operational processes, marking a significant step towards a technologically advanced health care system.
