House burnt down due to cylinder fire

Khorimhua. On Saturday, a cylinder provided under the Ujjwala scheme caught fire in a house in Tokotand village under Ghodthambha OP, and the entire house got engulfed in it. However, there was no casualty in this incident. The fire department team reached the spot after receiving the information and brought the fire under control. In this regard, victim Devanti Devi’s husband Parmeshwar Pandit told on Wednesday that he had taken the cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme in the morning itself. A fire broke out while preparing lunch. Told that by the time the disabled husband and children were taken out of the house, the entire house caught fire and started burning. Said that about ten thousand cash kept in the house and about 40 thousand rations, clothes and house including property worth one and a half lakh were burnt to ashes. Demanded compensation from the administration. The family survives by selling pakodas on a cart in front of the house. Said that due to the burning of both the capital and the house, the family is facing the problem of starvation. Here, after the information, ASI Ramakant Singh of Ghodhambha OP said that tireless efforts were made to extinguish the fire along with the local people, but the fire brigade arrived after about an hour and brought the fire under control.
