People’s passion for horses is worth seeing in the world famous Harihar Kshetra Sonpur Fair. In today’s time, along with vehicles, the number of lovers of horses has also increased. In the Harihar area Sonpur fair, the horse, a symbol of grandeur, has been bought by ministers and even officials. Due to the decline in the use of horses as a vehicle with time, some of the old class people have not given up keeping horses even today. Horses of advanced breed from Sindh, Multan and even Arab countries used to come to the fair. He used to add charm to the fair with these horses.

The arrival of other animals in this fair, famous as cattle fair, has reduced, but there is no vacant space at all in the horse market of the fair. There are tents and awnings everywhere. Minister Sumit Kumar Singh has brought his horses in the mail

One horse in the fair is Sumit Kumar Singh, independent MLA from Chakai Assembly and Science and Technology Minister of Bihar Government. His father late Narendra Singh also used to bring his animals to the Sonpur fair. Now Minister Sumit Kumar Singh has brought his best horse to the fair. His men are taking care of the horses in this fair.

On the other hand, the horse of BJP MLA and former minister Ramsurat Rai has also become the highlight of the Sonpur fair. This time, seven horses of Minister Sumit Singh had come to the Harihar Kshetra Fair, out of which three horses have been sold. Apart from five Gir cows and calves, he has also brought one Nandi Sadh and one Mura buffalo to this fair. Nandi is not for sale. Still, when asked, Devi Singh present there told that the price of Nandi is Rs 51 lakh. The price of buffalo is Rs 5 lakh.

Schedule of outdoor sports games of the fair released

Here, the schedule of outdoor sports games to be organized in the fair has also been released. Kabaddi competition will be organized at Dak Bungalow Ground, Sonpur from 30th November to 3rd December. Sushil Kumar Singh has been made its coordinator. Kho-Kho competition will be held at Dakbungla Ground, Sonpur from 4th to 6th December. For this, Sakaldeep Singh has been appointed as the coordinator. Chess competition will be organized under the supervision of coordinator Yashpal Kumar Singh on 7th and 8th December at Dak Bungalow ground itself.

Boat race competition will also be organized

This time boat race, archery, handball and volleyball competitions will also be organized in Sonpur fair. On December 8, a boat race competition will be held from Pul Ghat to Kalighat under the supervision of coordinator Dinesh Kumar Sahni. Archery at Dak Bungalow grounds on 9 and 10 December under the coordination of Manoj Kumar Gupta, handball at Dak Bungalow grounds from 10 to 12 December under the supervision of Sanjay Kumar Singh and under the supervision of Kishore Kunal at Dak Bungalow grounds, Sonpur from 11 to 13 December. There will be a volleyball competition. Football competition will also be held in Sonpur fair. Which will be held in Dak Bungalow grounds from 13 to 16 December. For this, Suraj Kumar has been made the coordinator.

Wrestling and dangal competition will be special

Wrestling and dance competitions will also be special in the fair this time. Various wrestling and dance competitions will be organized in the Dak Bungalow grounds from 17th to 20th December. For this, Vikas Kumar has been made the coordinator. To give an attractive look to the fair and keeping in mind the increasing number of youth attending the fair, a cricket tournament is also being organized this time. Cricket competition will be held at Dakbungalow ground between 21st and 24th December. For which Rajesh Kumar Singh has been made the coordinator. Participants are also being selected for these competitions organized by the Department of Art, Culture and Youth. Selection of participants for many competitions has been completed.
