Honda 0 Series Salon Front Design

Japanese carmaker Honda said the 0 Series Salon previews a flagship EV from the company, which will sit on a new electric vehicle platform with a focus on offering vehicles with low floors, sporty dynamics and powerful powertrains. The Honda 0 Series Salon for its part looks like a streamlined and futuristic sedan, with the wedge shaped nose, plunging roofline and high set rear giving it an almost statelike profile. Its wedge shaped nose features a digital panel, which has a new look Honda ‘H’ logo. This will be visible on upcoming EV cars. The panel adds three-dimensional graphics to the concept’s fascia, making it appear as if the unit is inset compared to the sedan’s nose. The main headlamps are mounted higher up from the nose than the small bonnet, appearing integrated into the base of the windshield.

Rear design of Honda 0 series saloon

The rear of the Honda 0 Series saloon also has a similar 3D-effect illuminated panel, with light rings like the front and the Honda inscription in the middle. The concept also includes an extensive glass house, in which the low-set windscreen blends with a panoramic glass roof. It extends till the rear of the passenger cell. What helps this concept stand out even more is the pair of massive gullwing doors that extend the length of the passenger cabin.

Honda 0 Series Salon Interior

Moving to the cabin, the Honda 0 Series Salon concept features a four-seat layout with individual seats for all occupants. Honda says that this concept has a steer-by-wire system, which means that the steering has no direct connection to the front wheels. The yoke-style steering juts out from the dashboard to welcome the driver. The overall style is quite minimalist with digital screens visible near the center console and on the passenger side. Its instrument panel features a Human Machine Interface (HMI), which enables simple and intuitive operation, realizing a sophisticated and seamless user interface.

Powertrain of Honda 0 Series Salon

Honda has not yet revealed much information about the powertrain of the 0 Series Salon Electric Sedan car, except that all 0 Series models will feature e-axle. The motor, inverter and gearbox will be integrated into the axle of the car. It also confirmed fast charging from 15 to 80 percent in just 15 minutes for its new EV series as well as the use of high-density lightweight battery packs.
