Holi 2024: Alert given to all the districts of Bihar, police will also keep a close watch on Holika Dahan

Bihar Police Headquarters has issued an alert to all the districts regarding Holi 2024 and instructed them to take special vigilance. To deal strictly with mischievous and anti-social elements, intensive patrolling, checking and raiding operations have been conducted. In this regard, ADG Law and Order Sanjay Singh has issued detailed guidelines by writing a letter to all the regional DIGs and IGs. In this, possible reasons for the dispute on Holika Dahan and Holi have been mentioned and asked to be prepared to deal with it. Special vigil has also been asked to be maintained in militancy affected districts.

Police will keep an eye on Holika Dahan

Police Headquarters has asked to identify sensitive places regarding Holi in all the districts and deploy adequate police force there. To deal with the miscreants, it has been asked to form an anti-riot squad and to arrange for adequate number of helmets, sticks and other safety equipment for the police force. People have also been asked to be alert regarding the controversy regarding burning of Holika at the disputed site.

Alert regarding land dispute and incidents of communal violence

Police Headquarters has said in its letter that migrants return back to the village during Holi. During this time, efforts are made to resolve land dispute cases. In such a situation, there is a need to be extra careful regarding land disputes. After reviewing the incidents that happened in the last three years during Holi, instructions have been given to complete the pending work soon. Taking the incidents happening between two communities seriously, instructions have been given to the police officers to take appropriate action without any delay.

Control room is being prepared

The police headquarters has set up control rooms in all the districts and has instructed officers to check their well-being every two hours. Instructions have also been given to form Quick Response Team in every district to deal with emergency incidents. In case of any incident, instructions have been given to immediately inform the DGP control room and senior officials.

Patna district administration on alert mode

Here the capital Patna is also on alert mode. Patna DM Shirat Kapil Ashok and SSP Rajeev Mishra said that concrete arrangements have been made for security during Holi. 489 magistrates have been deployed at 592 places in the district under the leadership of 41 senior magistrates. Besides, police officials, armed forces and lathi forces have been deployed. He said that action will be taken against the rioters.

Section 144 is applicable..

DM of Patna said that model code of conduct is in force in the entire district. Under this, prohibitory order is in force in the entire district under Section 144. Magistrates and police officers have been deputed at 94 places in Patna Sadar, 176 in Patna City, 66 in Danapur, 143 in Barh, 55 in Masaurhi and 58 places in Paliganj subdivision. Magistrates and police officers will be deputed in the control rooms of all sub-divisions in three shifts. Five patrol teams will patrol the Patna Sadar subdivision area. Quick response team and mobile party will remain active to deal with emergency situations. Motorcycle patrol team will control the activities. The height of the fire should be from a protective point of view. Instructed the Assistant Commissioner of Excise, all SDOs, SDPOs, BDOs, COs and Police Station Heads to keep vigil. An ambulance will be there with doctors, paramedical staff and essential life-saving medicines to deal with emergency situations. IGIMS, PMCH, NMCH, all primary health centers and sub-divisional hospitals were instructed to remain on alert along with doctors and paramedical personnel.
