Ranchi To be held from 13-19 January 2024 in FIH Women’s Hockey Olympic Qualifier Preparations are in the final stages. Teams from eight countries including India will participate in the tournament to be held under the joint auspices of Hockey India and Hockey Jharkhand. Wednesday to participate in the tournament 3rd january Teams will start reaching Ranchi from. On the first day i.e. Wednesday, the Indian women’s hockey team will reach Ranchi at 5 pm. Teams from Italy, United States of America (USA) will reach Ranchi on January 4, Czech Republic, Germany on January 6, Japan, Chile and New Zealand on January 7. After this, match officials will come to Ranchi from January 9 to 11.
Indian team is in Pool ‘B’ with New Zealand, Italy and USA.
Eight teams are participating in this competition. These teams have been kept in two groups. Germany, Japan, Chile and Czech Republic have been placed in Pool ‘A’, while the teams of India, New Zealand, Italy and United States have been placed in Pool ‘B’. Teams from a total of three countries will get their tickets from the competition for the Olympic Games to be held in Paris this year (2024).

Four players from Jharkhand have been included in the Indian team participating in the competition. These players include Olympians Nikki Pradhan, Salima Tete, Sangeeta Kumari and Beauty Dungdung.
