Relief and rescue operations went on through the night

DC Mandi Arindam Chowdhary said, 5 forest department officials and 5 local people were trapped in a boat in Kol dam reservoir due to rising water level. To save them, relief and rescue operations were carried out overnight with the help of NDRF and local administration teams.

These people were trapped in the dam

Officials said five of those trapped in the dam… Bahadur Singh, Bhupesh Thakur, Roop Singh, Babu Ram and Angad Kumar… are forest department employees, while the other five are locals identified as Nain Singh, Dagu Ram, Hem Raj, Budhi Singh and Dharmendra.
