The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Shahpura in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh was allegedly murdered by her husband for not making a ‘nominee’ in the service, insurance and bank records. Superintendent of Police Akhil Patel said that SDM Nisha Napit (51) had married Manish Sharma (45) through a social media site in 2020, but her husband’s demand to make a ‘nominee’ in service, insurance and bank records was rejected. Due to not agreeing, tension had arisen between the two.

The Superintendent of Police said that Sharma suffocated Nisha to death with a pillow on Sunday, sat near the body for six hours and then took the body to the nearby community health center, but the doctors there alerted the police. . Patel told that Sharma washed Nisha’s blood stained clothes and pillow in the washing machine.

Police solved the case within 24 hours
Police said, based on our investigation and clues obtained from the spot, we interrogated Sharma and then arrested him. He has been accused of murder, dowry death, destroying evidence and other crimes. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Mukesh Srivastava praised the investigation team for solving the mystery of the case within 24 hours and announced a reward of Rs 20,000. Police sources said that the accused is allegedly a ‘property dealer’.
