High Court gives relief to the accused in SVU OTT financial irregularities case, but appeal for cancellation of FIR rejected

Patna. The Patna High Court has given relief to the accused in the case of financial irregularities on SVU OTT. Justice Dr. Anshuman’s court rejected the appeal regarding cancellation of the FIR registered by SVU. The court ordered that all concerned accused should cooperate in the investigation. Also file an affidavit saying that he will not hide any fact during the investigation.

Accused should cooperate with the agency in the investigation

The court said that under the law all persons are bound to cooperate with the investigating agency. The petitioner was given relief that after completing the investigation, the investigating agency would be able to take any strict action only after presenting its investigation report before the Magistrate. In this case, the accused of Friday story tellers had filed an appeal in the High Court.

No coercive action will be taken against the petitioner

The central agency is investigating by registering an FIR against the people of Friday Story for film making on SVU OTT and financial irregularities. The court has directed the counsel for the Special Vigilance Unit to file a counter affidavit within three weeks. This matter will be heard after four weeks i.e. on 24.04.2023. In the meanwhile no coercive step should be taken against the petitioner.
