Hero MotoCorp’s e-scooter VIDA V1 Pro becomes costlier, see new price here

Hero Vida V1 Pro Price Hike: Hero Motocorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler maker, has increased the price of its electric scooter Vida V1 Pro by about Rs 6,000 after the subsidy on electric two-wheelers decreased. This increase has come into effect from June 1.

Hero MotoCorp’s flagship electric scooter Vida V1 Pro will now be available at Rs 1,45,900 including FAME-Do subsidy and portable charger. This is an increase of around Rs 6,000 from the earlier price.

Confirming this, a dealer said that the company itself has borne most of the burden of subsidy cut under Fame-2 from June 1 and has put very limited burden on the customers.

There was no immediate response from the company in this regard. The Ministry of Heavy Industries has reduced the maximum subsidy limit for electric two-wheelers (ex-factory price) from 40 percent to 15 percent.

According to industry sources, after the revision in FAME-II, the subsidy has come down by about Rs 32,000 per unit. Already many electric two-wheeler companies have increased the prices of their electric models.

TVS Motor has said that after revising the Fame-II scheme, it has increased the price of its model iQube (TVS iQUBE) by Rs 17,000 to 22,000 depending on the versions. (with language input)
