Hero Karizma XMR 210 Launch: Hero’s legend Karizma introduced in new avatar, know features, price and range

New Delhi : India’s two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp on Tuesday finally launched the much-awaited Karizma XMR 210 in the market at a price of Rs 1,72,900 (ex-showroom). This is said to be the return of the phenomenally successful Karizma in a new avatar to the two-wheeler giant’s product lineup after four years. Hero Karizma XMR 210 is an important part of the brand’s strategy for premium products. It has currently been introduced in the market at an introductory price. It is expected that its price will increase in the coming few weeks. The booking of the bike will start from 29th August itself. Despite the Karizma being the latest model from Hero, the new model carries some signature styling elements, which remind us of the original model that was introduced in 2003.

Hero Karizma continues to be one of the most successful products ever in the Indian motorcycle market. It was first introduced in 2003 under the collaboration between Honda and Hero MotoCorp. The Karizma continues to be sold in the market till January 2019. Changing technologies and declining sales in the last decade forced Hero MotoCorp to eventually discontinue the motorcycle. However, the popularity of the Karizma never waned, which prompted the two-wheeler manufacturer to bring the legendary bike in a new avatar.

The new Hero Karizma XMR 210 looks sportier and more attractive than its predecessor. However, the signature styling elements are visible in the new model as well, blended with advanced technology and modern features.

Hero Karizma XMR 210: Price

Hero Karizma XMR 210 has been launched at an initial price of Rs 1,72,900 (ex-showroom). After the initial offer is over, the price is expected to go up to around Rs. 2 lakh. Also, Hero MotoCorp has announced that the bike will be available for bookings from August 29 afternoon.

Hero Karizma XMR 210: Design

Hero Karizma XMR 210 has aggressive styling, which makes it attractive to look at. It gets sharp and sleek looking LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. The turn indicators and tail lamps also come with LED touch. The sporty bike gets a slightly raised adjustable front wind guard while the massive fuel tank gives it a distinct feel. The fuel tank gets some smooth folds, which help in the aerodynamic efficiency of the bike.

Hero Karizma XMR 210: Color Options

The semi-fairing is similar to the previous Karizma model. It has a split seat layout. The rear seat is raised and the narrow sleek tail section adds more style to the bike. The Karizma XMR 210 features a fully digital color LCD display, which comes with Bluetooth connectivity and first-in-segment turn-by-turn navigation technology. It will be available in three different color options. This includes Iconic Yellow, Matte Red and Phantom Black.

Hero Karizma XMR 210: Engine and Specifications

Hero Karizma XMR 210 is powered by a new power mill. Powering the bike is a 210 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 25.15 bhp of maximum power and 20.4 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox for transmission duties.

Hero Karizma XMR 210: Brakes and Suspension

Helping in the ride comfort, telescopic front forks at the front and preloaded adjustable monoshock absorbers are fitted to the bike for suspension duties. For braking, the Karizma XMR 210 gets disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, which are paired with dual-channel MBS.
