Dearness allowance of Jharkhand government employees can be increased by four percent. On the lines of the central government, a proposal has been prepared to increase the dearness allowance of the employees in the state as well. Recently, the dearness allowance of the Government of India employees has been increased to 42 per cent. The Finance Department has also made a proposal to align the dearness allowance of state employees with that of the Centre. A decision on this will be taken in the cabinet meeting to be held on the 6th.

At present the dearness allowance is 38 per cent.

The dearness allowance of government employees of Jharkhand is currently 38 percent. If the cabinet meeting to be held tomorrow approves the increase in dearness allowance by 4 percent, then the DA of state government employees will also be equal to that of central government employees. This will benefit 19,3000 employees of the state. Earlier, the Hemant government had increased the dearness allowance from 34 per cent to 38 per cent, giving a big gift to the government employees before Diwali last year.

According to the information, the Jharkhand cabinet has almost completed the preparation for increasing the dearness allowance. And it can be stamped in the meeting to be held tomorrow. With this, the employees will benefit from at least Rs 500 to Rs 9,000 for the officers every month. Significantly, the Modi government at the Center had increased the pay scale of government employees from 38 percent to 42 percent in the cabinet meeting held in March. In this, it was decided that from January 2023, the increased rates of dearness allowance will be applicable to the employees.
