Helper of mafia Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad arrested in Prayagraj, Atin Zafar will appear in Bareilly court today

Bareilly: Bareilly Police of Uttar Pradesh has arrested Atin Zafar, accused of escaping mafia Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad, from Prayagraj (Allahabad) on Friday night. Atin Zafar is accused of arranging illegal meetings with Mafia Ashraf while he was lodged in Central Jail-2 Bareilly. NBW was issued against him. But, the police was busy searching for 6 months. The police had reached Prayagraj on Friday with a warrant. With the help of Prayagraj Police, he was arrested late night. But now it is being brought to Bareilly.

A case was registered in Bithri police station of Bareilly.

An FIR was registered in March against many people including mafia Atiq-Ashraf’s brother-in-law Saddam, Lalla Gaddi, Atin Zafar in Bithri Chainpur police station of the city. These people were accused of providing VIP treatment to Ashraf in jail. Atin Zafar was absconding since then. However, the police have arrested Lalla Gaddi and other accused and sent them to jail. All these accused are in jail.

In this case, the court had issued non-bailable warrant for Atin Zafar and Guddu Bombaz. SSP Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan had sent two teams to Prayagraj to arrest the accused. First an inspector reached Prayagraj to serve the warrant. After this another team was sent to Prayagraj. When the Inspector posted the warrant and returned from there. After this, Atin Zafar came out fearlessly and was arrested with the help of Prayagraj Police. Bareilly police left for Bareilly late night with Atin Zafar.

Money was withdrawn from Assad’s ATM on 24th February

Accused Atin Zafar had withdrawn money from Asad’s ATM in Lucknow at 9 pm on 24 February 2023. During this time Atin Zafar’s photo was captured. Umesh Pal was murdered in the afternoon of 24th February in Prayagraj. It is alleged that to mislead the police, Asad had left his mobile and ATM in Lucknow. Due to this, the police could not trace his location and Atiq’s son Asad could be saved after the Umesh Pal murder case. However, Asad was killed in a police encounter.

Now looking for Saddam

Bareilly Police is searching for Saddam, brother-in-law of mafia Ashraf, who had a bounty of Rs 1 lakh, and Guddu Bombaz. A photo of Saddam being in Dubai was found, but the police could not trace him. Apart from this, Guddu Bombaz is also absconding.

Had murdered the mafia by posing as a journalist

Mafia Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead in the police cordon on the night of 24 April. The incident was carried out by three youths, who, posing as journalists, had come near the police convoy and opened fire indiscriminately. During this period about 18 rounds of bullets were fired. Out of these, 8 bullets hit Atiq Ahmed.
