Trains continued to run intermittently in areas like Gandhi Maidan, Bari Path, Bakarganj, Nala Road, Ashok Rajpath, Kankarbagh, Rajabazar etc. Ambulances, police vehicles, school buses etc. were stuck in the jam.
There were long queues of vehicles not only on the road but also on Chiriyatat flyover and Gardanibagh flyover. There is a jam on the middle road near Gandhi Setu Dhanuki turn due to buses loading and unloading passengers.
Cars are parked on both sides of the road
The biggest problem is in Bari Path, Kankarbagh, Bakarganj and Nala Road. At these places, vehicles are parked on both sides of the road. Because of this the width of the roads reduced. Not only this, after the vehicle parking, the remaining places were filled with stall vendors, due to which the problem of traffic jam has become worse. People said that big markets have been built, but vehicles are being parked on the road. Due to this, half the roads have been captured.
Vehicles on the road will be confiscated, fine will also be imposed
Traffic SP Puran Jha said that the vehicle on the road will be confiscated. Not only this, fine will also be imposed.
He said that a campaign will be launched against illegal parking on the roadside. Earlier, fines have been imposed on vehicles parked on the roadside at places like Khajpura, Rajabazar etc. Many vehicles have also been seized and brought to the police station.
