Heavy rain due to Hathiya Nakshatra in Jharkhand, effect of low pressure will also be seen in Bay of Bengal, Orange alert

Jharkhand Weather: According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is forming in the north-east and east-central Bay of Bengal. In the next 48 hours it will reach the coastal areas of Northern Odisha and West Bengal. Its effect will be visible in Jharkhand from September 30 itself. There is a warning of heavy rain at many places. Its effect will remain till October 4. There will be a slight reduction from October 5th. Weather center in-charge Abhishek Anand said that there is a possibility of thunder and lightning during this period. It will affect the south-eastern and adjacent central areas on September 30. This includes some parts of Khunti, Ranchi and Kolhan. There may be heavy rain at isolated places in the south-western parts on October 1. This includes Simdega, Gumla, Khunti, West Singhbhum, Ranchi and Lohardaga. There may be heavy rain in north-eastern Santal on October 2. There will be more rain in the western areas on October 3. This includes Palamu division and surrounding districts. The weather center has warned that there is a need to avoid thunder and lightning during this period.

  • There is a possibility of rain in Khunti, Ranchi, Kolhan and adjoining areas on September 30.

  • On October 1, there will be heavy rain in Simdega, Gumla, Khunti, West Singhbhum, Ranchi and Lohardaga and surrounding districts.

  • There is a possibility of heavy rain in north-eastern Santal on 2 October.

  • There will be heavy rain in Palamu division and surrounding districts on October 3.

  • There is a possibility of thunderstorm during this period, an alert is issued regarding this.
