Earlier, Olanga had confirmed his death by tweeting. However, now he has removed that tweet. In a new tweet on social media platform X, Olanga has shared a screen shot of his recent conversation with Heath Streak, in which both are talking in the style of cricket. He wrote in his tweet, ‘I can confirm that the news of Heath Streak’s death is not true. He was presented in an exaggerated manner. I just talked to Heath Streak. The third umpire has called him back. He is still alive. The interesting thing is that Olanga himself had first written about the streak’s death on social media.

Streak, who captained Zimbabwe between 2000 and 2004, played 65 Tests and 189 One Day Internationals. He is the only player from his country to have taken 100 Test wickets and single-handedly handled an often faltering bowling unit during his 12-year career. Heath Streak is mainly known for his bowling skills, however he also contributed with the bat in his team’s middle order and scored a total of 1990 Test runs and 2943 ODI runs in his career. He scored his first and only Test century (127 *) against the West Indies in Harare.
