Hearing of Vijay Hansda case today, Sahibganj SP will be interrogated on 22nd.

Sahibganj SP Naushad Alam will be interrogated by the ED team on November 22. He is accused of arranging a ticket for Vijay Hansda, an ED witness in the illegal mining case, to go to Delhi. On the other hand, the case related to Vijay Hansda will be heard in the Supreme Court on November 21. ED had sent summons on November 10 and directed SP Naushad Alam to appear at the regional office in Hinnu, Ranchi on November 22 for questioning. He is accused of instigating Vijay Hansda, a witness of illegal mining in Sahibganj. Besides, he is also accused of arranging a ticket to send him to Delhi in the Pankaj Mishra vs Vijay Hansda case. ED had found in the investigation that Vijay Hansda had to go to Delhi to present his side in the case going on in the Supreme Court. On the instructions of the SP, a police officer had arranged a ticket for Vijay Hansda through a travel agent. According to the information, Vijay Hansda had lodged an FIR against Pankaj Mishra and others on charges of illegal mining at Lemon Mountain. While in jail, he filed a petition demanding an independent agency to investigate the matter.

Request to withdraw petition after coming out of jail

After coming out of jail, he filed an IA in the court requesting to withdraw his petition. For this, it was argued that he was cheated and a petition was filed demanding investigation in the Lemon Pahad case. He had signed the Vakalatnama to file the bail petition. This Vakalatnama was misused. After hearing the petition of Vijay Hansda, the High Court ordered a CBI investigation into this entire episode.
