30 people have been arrested so far in the violence case
Nainital Senior Superintendent of Police Prahlad Meena told in the press conference on Sunday that 30 people have been arrested so far in connection with this incident. Five people were earlier arrested in connection with the incident that took place on February 8. 3 FIRs have been registered in the entire matter. Each FIR has been allotted to an investigation team and they have started their work. He said that the search for Abdul Malik, the main accused in the incident, is still going on.

Central paramilitary forces took charge
In view of the violence in Haldwani, the Uttarakhand government has demanded more central forces to deal with the situation. After which deployment of security forces has started there. It is known that a demand was made from the Home Ministry for four companies of Central Paramilitary Forces with 100 soldiers each so that law and order could be maintained in the violence-hit Banbhulpura area.
