Electric Vehicles Sales in Jharkhand: Who says that there is no awareness regarding environmental protection in Jharkhand. There is no shortage of Guddi red in this state. You will be shocked to know that Jharkhand made huge purchases of electric vehicles which reduce environmental pollution. According to the report of FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Association), electric vehicles have become the king of the roads of Jharkhand. In the year 2023, compared to 10.93 percent increase in the sales of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, an increase of about 54.38 percent has been recorded in the sales of electric vehicles in this state. About 5,44,045 vehicles were sold in the state during the entire year, while 4,90,452 vehicles were sold in the year 2022.

54.38 percent increase in sales of electric vehicles in Jharkhand

As far as the sale of electric vehicles is concerned, a total of 21,122 electric vehicles were sold in Jharkhand during the year 2023. This includes two wheelers, three wheelers, commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles. However, during the year 2022, about 13,682 electric vehicles were sold in the state. If seen from this perspective, an increase of 54.38 percent was recorded in the sales of electric vehicles in Jharkhand during one year, which is much better than the increase of 49.25 percent at the national level.

Jharkhand broke national level record

Based on the FADA report, if we talk about the sales of vehicles at the national level in India, then during the year 2023, about 15,29,947 electric vehicles were sold in the country. At the same time, 10,25,063 electric vehicles were sold during the year 2022. If we talk about the increase in sales of electric vehicles during these two years, then at the national level an increase of about 49.25 was recorded in the year 2023 as compared to the year 2022. If seen from this perspective, Jharkhand has broken the national level record in the matter of purchase of electric vehicles.

Jharkhand is aware of clean green transportation

While talking to the media, President of Jharkhand Chapter of FADA, Govind Mewar said that in the case of sales of electric vehicles, Jharkhand has achieved significant growth as compared to the sales at the national level. He said that the increase in sales of electric vehicles proves that the people of Jharkhand have more awareness about clean green transportation and sustainable vehicles.

Highest sales of electric three wheelers

According to the FADA report, the maximum number of three-wheelers have been sold in Jharkhand during the year 2023. During this entire year, about 13,226 three-wheelers were sold in the state. After this comes two-wheelers with 7,413 units. The report said that about 10.13 percent increase was recorded in the sales of electric two-wheelers, while 94.67 percent increase was seen in the sales of electric three-wheelers.
