Greater Noida: The maid stole 15.40 lakhs one by one from the bundle of money kept in the house, this is how it was revealed

Noida: The domestic help of the kiln owner living in Purvanchal Royal City Society of Beta-2 police station area in Greater Noida crossed Rs 23.50 lakh. On receiving the complaint, the police arrested the domestic help and her husband from the zero point of the Yamuna Expressway.

In the interrogation of the domestic help, it was told that she had stolen a bundle of Rs 500 daily from the cupboard to buy the plot. The theft came to light when the kiln owner needed the money. Police recovered Rs 15.40 lakh, two passbooks, two mobiles, a bag and a ladies purse from the house of the accused.

In fact, Manish Singhal, who runs a brick kiln in Dankaur area, told in his complaint to the police that after selling the bricks, he had kept around Rs 24 lakh in the cupboard. He didn’t lock the cupboard. His domestic help Mamta Prajapati was aware of the cash. According to Manish, Mamta was working at his flat for about three years. Mamta, who lives in Khairli Hafizpur near Dankaur railway station, also had a police verification.

A few days ago, when he needed money, he opened the cupboard and found that a total of 47 bundles of 500 notes were missing. He had expressed doubt on Mamta. Also, complained of missing Rs 23.50 lakh, two passbooks, two phones, a bag and a ladies purse from the house. Police arrested Mamta and her husband Rajendra from the zero point of Yamuna Expressway.

During interrogation, Mamta told that she had informed her husband that Rs 23 lakh was kept in the cupboard, after which both of them together planned to steal the money. The plan was that both of them would buy a plot in this city with this money. Both had given 50 thousand rupees as earnest money after searching for the plot. The remaining payments were also to be made soon.

Current landed while installing electric pole, 1 worker killed, 6 injured

While installing an electric pole in front of ESI Hospital located in Noida Sector-24 late on Sunday, seven employees got electrocuted. In this, an employee doing electrical work died on the spot. Other injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Everyone was sent home after first aid there.

Officials of the Electricity Corporation say that the work of installing the pole was being done by the contractor of the Authority. For this he did not take shutdown. ACP Sushil Ganga Prasad told that at 6.45 pm on Sunday, seven people were installing street light poles on the road under contract outside ESI Hospital. During this, all seven people came under the grip of 11 thousand KV line going from above. 25-year-old Dilkash Raja of Araria, Bihar died on the spot. He used to work under the contractor.

As soon as the information was received from the passers-by, the ACP along with the police force reached the spot and admitted the injured to the hospital for treatment. During this, traffic was also disrupted for some time. People gathered on both sides of the road. After about 20 minutes of effort, the police removed the people from the spot. Adil, Musa, Abdul Karim Ansari, Afroz, Naseer and Mushtaq were sent home with minor burns after first aid.
