Bajrang committed murder with a sharp weapon
On Sunday, Shanti Devi was sitting in her house with her two granddaughters, 12-year-old Simi Kumari, 9-year-old Shilpa Kumari and two and a half year old grandson Kartik Nag. Daughter-in-law Rukmini Devi had gone to Kolebira weekly market. Meanwhile, a young man named Bajrang Sahu reached home and committed murder with a sharp weapon.
The accused absconded after the incident
Simmi Kumari and Shilpa Kumari told that they were sitting in the house with their grandmother Shanti Devi. Meanwhile, Bajrang Sahu, a resident of Bokba village, came and killed his grandmother by stabbing her in the neck with a sharp weapon. Bajrang Sahu absconded after committing the incident. Simi and Shilpa said that Bajrang beat them both as well. After the incident, both the girls came out of the house and started crying.
Police arrived as soon as information was received
Seeing the girls crying, the villagers reached them. The girls told the villagers about the incident. When the villagers peeked inside the house, Shanti Devi was found lying dead. The villagers informed the police about this. As soon as the information was received, Kolebira police station in-charge reached the incident site with his team. Took the dead body into their custody. The murder that took place in broad daylight remains a topic of discussion. The villagers are seeing the incident as revenge.
The crime was committed in retaliation
Villagers are telling that on November 5, 2022, the deceased’s son Sanjay Nag had murdered Balram Sahu’s wife Asha Devi with a sharp weapon in Bokba village itself. The accused is still in jail. In retaliation for this incident, Bajrang Sahu, son of deceased Asha Devi, killed Shanti Devi.
