Governor and co-founder of Infosys honored 17 gold medalists of BIT Mesra

Education is a continuous process. It is not limited to just the institute. The process of learning continues throughout life. You will get social recognition only by improving yourself. Governor CP Radhakrishnan said these things during the 33rd convocation of BIT Mesra. He had attended the convocation ceremony held at GP Birla Auditorium as Chancellor. Where for the first time, 1700 students from seven campuses of the institute – BIT Mesra, Patna, Deoghar, Lalpur Extension, Noida, Jaipur and University Polytechnic obtained degrees.

On this occasion, the Governor said that after obtaining the degree, the real life journey begins. In which we will be able to develop our family and society by doing better deeds. Educational institutions impart education to discharge social responsibilities. By cooperating in this from time to time, we will be able to become a good citizen.

Young generation should be involved in research: The Governor said that India is an educated country. The people of the country have the ability which no one else has. Chandrayaan-3 is an example of this. The young generation needs to get involved in research. This will create new opportunities, which will help in providing employment to others. Engineering students can initiate new changes through innovation. In this sequence, it is necessary to adopt morality and value based life.

2818 students were selected in the convocation ceremony.

A total of 2818 students from seven campuses were selected to confer degrees in the 33rd convocation for the session 2022-23. These included 1948 UG students, 699 PG students, 115 Diploma students and 56 PhD students. 17 overall best performers identified subject wise were awarded gold medals. A total of 1365 students of BIT Mesra Main Campus (821 UG, 498 PG and 46 PhD students), 429 students of BIT Lalpur Extension (323 UG, 105 PG and one PhD student), University Polytechnic BIT Mesra participated in the function. Total 143 from UGC (115 Diploma, 28 UG students), Total 142 from Off Campus Deoghar (140 UG and two PhD students), Total 383 from Patna (361 UG, 19 PG and three PhD students), A total of 127 (70 UG, 53 PG and four PhD students) from Noida and 229 from Jaipur (205 UG and 24 PG students) were awarded degrees.

These 17 students got gold medal

This year, 17 overall best performers were selected from different campuses for Gold Medalist. These include Deeptam Das of B.Arch, Anirudh Arun Upadhyay of B.Tech Biotechnology, Jasleen Kaur of Chemical Engineering, Himanshu Kumar of Chemical-Plastic and Polymer, Saumya Jha of Civil Engineering, Komal Kumari of Computer Science Engineering, Taranjit Singh of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, I.S.S. Mahavadi Shri Shashank of K, Kapil Kungwani of IT, Aman Singh of Mechanical Engineering, Ayush Tripathi of Production Engineering, Shreya Mankotiya of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Aditi of B Pharmacy, Anmol Aggarwal of BBA, Isha Gupta of BCA, BSc Animation and Multimedia Siddharth of K and Poonam Kumari of B.Sc Medical Lab Technology were included.

Prepare yourself to do big work: Commander

Infosys co-founder Padma Bhushan Senapati Krish Gopalakrishnan attended the ceremony as the chief guest. He told the students that time and experience are necessary to do big and effective work. For this, keep yourself constantly connected with education. Today’s youth have the passion to take their work to the end with confidence. This is the hallmark of good education and training. Giving the example of Steve Jobs, he inspired the students to set goals, do regular self-assessment and move forward towards achieving them.

Session students got 729 job offers

VC Prof. Dr. Indranil Manna presented the annual report of the organization. He told that after getting grade “A” from NAAC, efforts are being made to improve the institution. Apart from the education of the students, the institute has been successful in maintaining good records in the direction of research and placement. In the placement process for session 2022-23, 193 institutes presented 729 job offers. On the occasion, Chairman of the Board of Governors, CK Birla also inspired to acquire skill training as per the demand of the time.

Gold medalist looks happy

Presently I am studying Masters of Design from National Institute of Design, Bangalore. Have to take advantage of new opportunities.

While doing Production and Industrial Engineering, he prepared himself for the field of analytics. Now I am preparing to do management.

– Ayush Tripathi

While studying hotel management, he prepared himself as a chef. Due to this, SAFE was selected in Marriott Group. Have to prepare yourself for executive safe.

– Shriya Mankotiya

Medical lab technology is currently in demand. I want to do research in this area. The aim is to join research after MSc.

– Poonam Kumari

Currently learning management skills through MBA. The aim is to create employment opportunities for yourself as well as others by becoming an entrepreneur.
