Gorakhpur: A young man died in the custody of the police of Gola police station (Gorakhpur News) on Wednesday midnight. The police brought the young man to the police station for questioning. His condition suddenly worsened at night. Police reached CHC with the youth, but he could not be saved. After the death of the young man, his family members created a huge uproar. At night, after the FIR of murder was filed against three policemen including Gola Police Station Head, the family members became calm.
Was accused of molesting a minor
It is being told that Vinay Shankar Pandey alias Deepak (42), resident of Badha of Gola police station area, was accused of molesting a minor girl. The police had detained him in this case. When the police was taking him to the police station for questioning. Then his health deteriorated. Vinay Shankar’s condition worsened after reaching the police station. By the time the police could provide treatment, Vinay died.
FIR lodged against SO at midnight
When the family members came to know about this, they blocked Gola intersection. People raised slogans against the police at midnight. The commotion continued till around 3 o’clock in the night. SP City Krishna Kumar Bishnoi tried to convince people but without FIR no one was ready to listen. Police registered a case of murder against three people including Gola police station in-charge and outpost in-charge. Only then did people end the jam.
