Gorakhpur University will provide free NET preparation to the meritorious students of all subjects.

Gorakhpur: Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University will provide NET preparation to the meritorious students. Meritorious students will be selected from all departments. This campaign has been started in order to promote research in the new national education policy. 75 meritorious students of various departments doing PG in the University will be provided free coaching for NET exam by the University. The first installment of about Rs 32 lakh to be received under this, Rs 19 lakh has also been received. The university is going to start this academic work under the Prime Minister’s Higher Education Campaign. No fees of any kind will be charged from the students for the preparation. Vice Chancellor of Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Professor Poonam Tandon said that in the new education policy, the emphasis is on promoting research from students. For this, this campaign is being run. Keeping this in mind, the Prime Minister Higher Education Campaign has been started. For this, funds are also being provided by the government. Rs 19 lakh has been received as the first installment. Science Museum has been selected as the preparation venue for NET. The preparation will be conducted completely free of cost.

Land is being prepared for running classes

Under this campaign, land is being provided to universities. It has been decided to conduct examinations for the selection of meritorious students for various courses in Gorakhpur University. DDU administration will take help in conducting the coaching of NET pass research scholars. A plan is being made in this regard. JRF NET research scholars get grant from UGC. In this they also have to do teaching work. The university administration will study under their coaching. Gorakhpur University has also been selected among those universities. Soon the selection process of students will start from the university for preparation. Marks obtained in Masters will be the criteria for selection. After this, a list of teachers will be prepared who will prepare the students.

The Vice Chancellor has issued instructions to all the heads of departments to complete the selection process of meritorious postgraduate students as soon as possible. A place has also been selected in the university administration for conducting NET preparation. That place will be the Science Museum of the University. Preparations will be made on the upper floor. The Vice Chancellor has also inspected the museum regarding this.
