Gorakhpur: Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University has started preparations for the proposed end semester examination from 15th December. The university has also started the exercise of determining the center for the examination. The university administration has completed the process of physical verification of the college. Gorakhpur University has conducted physical verification of the colleges of Gorakhpur, Kushinagar and Deoria. The 10-member team formed on the instructions of the Vice-Chancellor has submitted its confidential report in a closed envelope to the Registrar after verification. After which, on the basis of the report, the standard Only the colleges which stand on the 26 points prescribed for the exam will become the examination centres. 215 colleges had applied for the examination centre. On the instructions of the Vice-Chancellor, 10 teams of three members each of young teachers were formed for physical verification. After this, the team geo-tagged all the colleges and did physical verification of the facilities present in the college. Verification done.

Inspection of 80 colleges

The team reviewed the documents of the colleges and examined the facilities. On Monday, about 80 colleges of Gorakhpur district were inspected. After that, the resources available here and the facilities available for the candidates and the standards required for conducting the examination were thoroughly examined. On the second day, on Tuesday, the team inspected 55 colleges of Kushinagar and On the third day on Wednesday, about 80 colleges of Deoria district were inspected.

The team verified on these points

  • Number of rooms available for examination.

  • Proper roads and ease of vehicle access to the college.

  • Four walls and gates in the college.

  • CCTV cameras with voice recorder from both sides in all examination classrooms.

  • Provision of drinking water and toilets for the candidates.

  • Is the principal acting or permanent?

  • Whether the principal and teacher are approved or not.

  • How many cameras are there in the college and what is the seating capacity of students.
